Future fathers????Well, well. What a pickle!
I am adding this information so you can complete work during our school closure.

Future AP Language students: don't panic. We will get your SEE essential questions whipped into shape when we return. If you are fretting, email me with your phone number and I'll call you. (See note from Mr. Hammond below.)

Everybody: Towards the back of the The Tragedy of Julius Caesar packet I gave you there are two pages with journal prompts. They have discussion questions, and then a journal topic for each set of questions. Though we have barely begun to study the play, these questions deal more with the themes of the play than the particulars. Part of the Bard's genius is that the themes he explored remain universal and relevant today.

So, I would like you to:
  1. Complete the discussion questions, and then write a thoughtful journal entry in response to the prompt that follows the discussion questions. Include examples as appropriate.
  2. Think about these carefully, as you will see one of them on the Final.
  3. There are several topics; please complete one per day until we return. Work through them chronologically. They will be due the day we return to school.

The Study Guide for the Final is attached below and on the "Assignments" page. Hopefully we'll be back on Monday. Take care.

From Mr. Hammond: All 2009-2010 S.E.E. candidates: The S.E.E. process continues as ever; even in the face of this temporary school closure. The only thing that will change is the due date that you can submit your content advisor/summer assignment sheet. That due date will now be extended to the day after school re-opens. So, if school opens Monday June the 1st, your work is due on Tuesday June the 2nd, etc, etc. Please understand two things:
  1. School will re-open shortly.
  2. As you recall from the S.E.E meeting in the videoconference room nearly a month ago, there are no excuses for students who fail to submit this first S.E.E. assignment. This remains the case.
